If you do not have a Clever GO charging chip, you can buy an SMS code in our webshop to pay for charging at our charge points. You pay in advance for a set amount of power and receive an SMS code for starting the charge. SMS Charging is for you who only need to use Clever's charging network once in a while.

Buy SMS Charging

You buy SMS Charging in our webshop (SMS-opladning in Danish) You can choose between packages of 20 or 40 kWh and buy the amount of kWh you need one package at a time.

Example: If you want to buy 100 kWh, buy two 40 kWh and one 20 kWh packages. Once you have paid, we will send you a text message with a code. This is the code you need to start your charge.

Step 2
Find the charge point’s ID number
You can locate the charge point’s ID number on the individual charge point. It is usually five digits.

If the charge point’s ID number begins with 11, follow this guide (Norsk guide)
If the charge point’s ID number begins with 12, 16 or 17, follow this guide (Norsk guide)

Step 3
See how many kWh you have left
Once you have finished charging your car, we will send you an SMS. It shows how many kWh you have used and how many kWh you have left. If you buy more kWh in our webshop, they are added to your remaining balance on your SMS code.

How do I buy SMS charging?

First you must buy SMS charging in our webshop. You can choose between 20 or 40 kWh packages and place the amount of kWh you need in the basket. If you want to buy 100 kWh, you can place two 40 kWh and one 20 kWh package in the basket. Once you have paid we will send you an SMS containing your code. You need this code to begin and end your charging.

Can I use SMS charging on all Clever charge points?

Yes, SMS charging works on all our charge points.

Where can I see how many kWh I have left?

We will send you an SMS once you have finished charging your car. It contains information on the amount of kWh you have spent and how many you have left.

Can I top up my current SMS charging?

Yes. If you need more kWh you can buy extra packages in our webshop. Your new purchase will automatically be added to your balance and the code you received after your first purchase.
